Florida Association of Computer Crime Investigators
Statement of Purpose

WHEREAS, computer related crime has been recognized as having become a legitimate concern for the citizens of the State of Florida,

WHEREAS, there is a need for a coordinated response to the problem of computer related crime, including the exchange of information, networking, resource sharing, training, prevention efforts, and increased awareness,

WHEREAS, the investigation and prosecution of computer related crimes is a concern for members of the private sector responsible for computer security within their own organizations,

THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Florida Association of Computer Crime Investigators is formed for the purpose of providing investigative resources, training, information sharing, and other worthwhile benefits to its membership to further efforts in combating computer related crime in Florida.
